Kyle linked

The Coventry press have suggested there has been interest from ourselves, Plymouth and of course with him being a striker, Crystal Palace have been thrown in there too. However, the whole report reads as one of desperation of a club wishing to part company with a player rather than one of a player in demand.

The 27-year-old's last action for the Sky Blues came last January when he was sent off against the Clarets. He'd been very fortunate to get just a yellow card for an elbow on Jon Harley and even more fortunate to receive the same again for an awful challenge on Graham Alexander. That was still enough to see him sent off in what was his first game back from suspension after a red card at Blackpool.

New manager Chris Coleman allowed him to go out on loan to Wolves for the rest of the season and it was thought that Wolves' boss Mick McCarthy would take up the option of making the deal permanent. That didn't happen and now Coventry are left with one of their highest wage earner still on the books and they need to see him leave to use the money to strengthen the squad.

This is the only link with him and Burnley - and I would be very, very surprised should this particular player be pulling on a Burnley shirt any time soon.
