Kyle is back at Burnley

Steve Cotterill revealed last week that he might need to bring Kyle back but with no game over the weekend he said he would allow him to stay to play in Darlington’s game against Shrewsbury before making a decision.

That decision has been made and Kyle has now been recalled and will presumably go straight into the squad for the game at Coventry where he is expected to be on the bench.

Kyle first joined Darlington during the first week in January and scored on his debut at Notts County whilst we were just down the road going out of the FA Cup at Derby. He went on to score a total of three goals in nine games for them, although he hasn’t scored in any of his last four appearances.

He’s done well for the League Two club and has certainly been popular with both the management and the fans, and the reaction is one of disappointment that they weren’t able to keep him any longer.
