After the disappointments of their last two games in Latvia and Iceland, both of which ended in defeat, this has become a vital game for Worthington's side who are now three points behind the top two Sweden and Spain.
Sweden, who have a game in hand, face Liechtenstein on Saturday whilst Spain travel to Denmark. A Denmark win would see the Irish down to fourth place whilst a win for Spain would leave them six points behind the top two. It all means they will probably need to go to Stockholm and win to remain in with any realistic chance of making the finals.
It is just the one game for Northern Ireland, but for Alexander and Gudjonsson there are two games. Scotland face both Ukraine and Georgia whilst Iceland have games against Latvia and Liechtenstein.
