Kevan says no to Joey's dad

Dave arrived at Turf Moor in the summer of 2004 as Steve Cotterill's assistant and remained with the Clarets until October 2007 when he joined Notts County in a similar capacity, tempted by working back at the club where he had starred as a player.

Dave had worked as Cotterill's assistant at Stoke and whilst there had also been assistant to current Crewe boss Gudjon Thordason. In the last couple of weeks Thordason, on the lookout for a number two, has tried to persuade him to move there but today he decided that he would continue with Notts County.
