The 26-year-old has both played alongside and for Owen Coyle and interest is gathering south of the border with Leeds, Leicester, Doncaster and Coventry all believed to be chasing his signature.

Kerr, who plays in the centre of midfield, has been with Dundee United for five years after moving on a Bosman from his only other club Falkirk and has been a regular in the Arabs side ever since. He's now played over 300 league and cup games for his two clubs.

He has played at Burnley, he was in the Dundee United side that won 2-1 against us in a pre-season friendly in 2004, it was Steve Cotterill's first home game in charge of the Clarets.
