Joslin is referee

He certainly didn’t have a bad game that night, allowed the game to flow and didn’t get his cards out once for either side. In fact his was one of the best performances I have seen from a referee all season.

He is not one of the over eager referees when it comes to yellow cards and in 29 games this season there have been just 62 and only two red cards. 24 of those cards have gone to home team players and 38 to away team players so its is fair to say that Burnley players will be more likely to see his yellow cards than the Stoke players.

There is no doubt that he is a referee who has not courted controversy and certainly his name doesn’t come up when any games get out of hand or when there have been bad decisions.

There is nothing to suggest that it won’t continue at the Britannia Stadium.
