He was in outstanding form a week ago at Sheffield United alongside Steven Caldwell in the centre and on Tuesday moved back to left back with the return of Clarke Carlisle and turned in a performance that won him both our man of the match vote and message board player ratings.

It's just his second man of the match award, the other came in the Carling Cup win against Fulham, and he won it convincingly, polling 43.1% of the vote. Chris Eagles, man of the match at Bramall Lane, was second with 19.7% and Robbie Blake came third with 10.8% of the vote.

We had the same top two in the player ratings. Again Jordan came out on top with a rating of 7.74 out of 10 whilst Eagles was second, and his rating was 7.23. Robbie, who scored the first goal, had come third in the vote but it was Steven Thompson, who got the second and equalising goal, who was third in the ratings after coming on as a substitute. His rating was 6.74 out of 10.

Jordan wins six points towards the Player of the Season, Eagles picks up four and there's one each for Blake and Thompson, and that certainly leaves it tight at the top with just two points separating the top three.

Eagles has now moved into second place, behind Martin Paterson and ahead of Chris McCann, the only two leaders we've had all season. Jordan's points have moved him up to joint seventh in the table alongside Robbie Blake and Wade Elliott.
