Jordan has really turned the fans round with his recent performances and there's no doubt he'll be a big miss should his injury against Spurs prove to be serious. But back to his performance against Preston, and it was one that won him both the man of the match vote and the player ratings, and both by some distance.

He polled 35.8% of the man of the match vote with former Preston favourite Graham Alexander, back in the holding role for this game, coming second with 13.3%. Chris Eagles was third with 12.4% of the vote.

In the player ratings, Jordan had a rating of 8.07 out of 10 ahead of Robbie Blake who came on as a substitute and secured a rating of 7.20. Alexander was third, and his rating was 7.07 out of 10.

That gives Jordan six points towards the Player of the Season whilst there are three points for Alexander, two for Blake and one for Eagles.

Those points have now taken Jordan into fourth place in the Player of the Season Table, just a point ahead of Brian Jensen and only a point behind Chris McCann. Martin Paterson and Chris Eagles are still some way in front but certainly those next three players are well positioned to make a serious challenge.

Voting continues until tomorrow night for the man of the match from the Spurs game and the West Brom man of the match poll will start on Sunday.
