Jones set to leave Turf Moor

Jones joined the Clarets two years ago on a three year deal, but his opportunities in the first team over the past year have been hard to find and his only start in the league last season was in the home win over Plymouth in January.

He moved back to his old club Crewe to get some football in the last months of the season but returned to Burnley at the season's end looking to force his way into the team this season.

However, despite looking good at times in pre-season games, he's failed to make even the bench in the opening three games and played his first game last night for the reserves against Bury.

Now, it is looking increasingly likely that former Burnley manager Stan Ternent could be set to take him to Huddersfield although there has at this time been no confirmation from either club.
