Jones signed for Huddersfield during October during Stan Ternent's tenure at the Galpharm Stadium, and it was a deal that could have been extended had it suited both parties. However, he hasn't featured since Ternent's departure because of injury and had been doing some training back with the Clarets.

He's now returned to West Yorkshire, this time with League Two promotion chasers Bradford City in a deal that will run until the end of 2008. We've given them permission to play him in the FA Cup and he goes straight into their squad for the clash against Leyton Orient at the Bradford & Bingley Pulse Flamingo Land Pension Fund Intersonic Coral Windows Valley Parade Stadium.

City boss Stuart McCann said: "Steve is looking forward to coming and playing here and we can't wait to have him. He's got a good pedigree and plays mainly on the right, although he can also go up front.

"He was a bit unfortunate at Huddersfield. He started two games for Stan Ternent then got a blister and picked up an infection from the needle that burst it. That ruled him out for a couple of weeks and during that time Stan left and Gerry Murphy took over.

"But he is a good player who will certainly be a boost for us, particularly with Omar Daley bring out and I must thank the two chairmen for making funds available because these are tight times at the moment."
