Steve Jones - scored Burnley's goal
A strong Blackpool side travelled to Gawthorpe to take on a Burnley side mixed with experience and youth. Stephen McPhee, Alex Baptiste and former Burnley trialist Marlon Broomes were in the Seasiders line up along with Joe Martin who scored their goal.

For Burnley, it was a chance for Ade Akinbiyi, Robbie Blake, Jones, Diego Penny and Alan Mahon to get some action. They all played whilst Alex MacDonald played at right back and youth team captain and centre half Chris Lynch was in the team. Fellow youth team player Alex-Ray Harvey was introduced as a substitute.

We might have gone on to win the game but Blackpool goalkeeper Matt Gilks saved a penalty although there is no news on which player took the spot kick.

With no first team or reserve game this week it was a chance for all those players to get a game, but next week both teams are back in action and it starts when the reserves play Blackpool next Wednesday.
