Stewart was signed by Eddie Howe from Weymouth last summer as cover at Bournemouth but following Howe's departure to Burnley he had his contract terminated because of a number of disciplinary problems.
Howe has been looking to add a third goalkeeper to the squad and this signing will come as no surprise. He'll presumably play in the reserve games whilst acting as understudy to first team goalkeepers Lee Grant and Brian Jensen.
