Having missed the game at Sheffield United and having had a break to clear up the niggling injury McGreal was back to his best as the Clarets defended that 2-0 lead during the second half against the Golden Boys.
A top performance has almost become expected of him given his form throughout the season and Steve Cotterill’s first signing for the Clarets has proved to be a good one.
He somewhat strangely lines up at right back in a 4-4-2 system in this week’s team but this has become expected with these Football League teams when players can sometimes even find themselves in the wrong divisional teams and goalkeepers can find themselves in midfield.
