Jimmy set for Hillsborough?

James O'Connor
O'Connor was offered a new deal by Clarets boss Owen Coyle but the offer was withdrawn on Friday when the Irish midfielder wanted more time to consider it and he's not been short of offers since.

It is being reported that he had a host of clubs interested in signing him with Coventry and Wednesday leading the way. However, it seems that it is Brian Laws and Sheffield Wednesday who have won the race and he is expected to sign for them in July when his contract with the Clarets comes to an end.

He'll be well known to the fans at Hillsborough, he scored one of his rare goals there in August 2006 to rescue a point with a late equaliser in front of the Burnley fans at the Leppins Lane end. That was one of just eleven goals he scored during his time at Burnley.
