Jepson back at the Palace

Jepson has played for Warnock and has worked alongside him at Palace, QPR and Leeds in recent years, and the new manager didn't hesitate in taking him back to Selhurst Park.

When Warnock was there last time, Jeppo was the reserve team coach, but he moved up the ladder and at Leeds was his right hand man. Back at Palace he has now been appointed as the club's technical coach.

Jepson's last job was at Bury. He went there in the summer of last year as Kevin Blackwell's number two and became manager when Blackwell was sacked. Jepson suffered the same fate himself when Bury appointed David Flitcroft as manager.

The 51-year-old Jepson said on his appointment: "I'm delighted to be back working with Neil again, it is always a pleasure to be working alongside him. We will all be working together at the club, players and management, to make sure we all achieve our goals this season."

Jepson played for Stan Ternent at Bury and Burnley, and worked alongside him at both Gillingham and Huddersfield when Stan was manager at those two clubs. I always wonder what the former boss thinks of him being keen to work with Warnock.
