Jensen listed

He's had a difficult time recently, has cost us goals in a number of games, although turned in two good performances over the Christmas period before having a poor game at Reading in the cup tie that led to us going out.

That prompted Steve Cotterill to move for Mike Pollitt and that in turn prompted Jensen to ask for a transfer which has been granted. Steve Cotterill said: “I brought in Mike Pollitt because I didn't feel that Brian Jensen was playing as well as he had done the season before. I think too many goals have gone in this season, whoever has been in goal.

“Brian came to see me probably at the wrong time and I felt that it was more about him being left out, than us getting a result against Southampton. If he wants to leave of which he has said, then I've absolutely no problem with that.”

Jensen joined the club in the summer of 2003 but had something of a nightmare first season as we just about hung on to our place in the league. He lost his place to new signing Danny Coyne, but injuries to the new keeper over the past two years have meant him playing regularly.

He's had a poor run recently, apart from the two games over Christmas, and has twice been left out. The latest decision to bring Pollitt in has obviously led to him considering his future and that has seen him go on the transfer list.
