Jensen injury not serious

Brian Jensen
Jensen had to be replaced just a few minutes after conceding the first Wigan goal on Saturday. He damaged his ankle when he hesitated in trying to get across to the ball played into the box. Diego Penny came on to play all but the first quarter of an hour and will stand in next week should Jensen not make it.

The news this morning is that the Beast has had a scan and it has shown nothing more than slight ligament damage and that leaves him with more than a good chance of keeping up his unbroken run in the team that has stretched, in league games, since he came in for the second league game of last season against Ipswich. It is his longest run in the side.

It's the second time he's been forced off during a game this season, the other coming in the Carling Cup defeat at Barnsley.
