Jensen - offers will be considered

Jensen has submitted a written transfer request, as reported earlier today and Laws has admitted that the club will listen to any offers that might come in for the goalkeeper who signed a new contract just last summer.

"I think I have two of the best goalkeepers in the division but it's not a case either of them can go and play outfield," Laws said. "There is only one position they are going for and with two quality goalkeepers there's always going to be a disappointment.

"Patience is going to wear thin and January is coming up. Players will be looking at that thinking if I'm not playing I'd rather go out and play somewhere else. That's fair enough and we can understand that.

"We have said from day one that we have got experienced players here who have been playing week-in, week-out and those who are not in the side are going to be disappointed. One reaction is to maybe try and go out on loan or try and do something about it.

"Brian is disappointed he's not playing. He's frustrated and this is his way of reacting to it. He wanted to play and I can understand that. We'll see how things pan out. A transfer request is a transfer request, but you have to have a buyer or a taker.

"We all deal with things differently. We are disappointed from the football club's point of view because we want to keep a good squad of players together. But we will react accordingly and see what happens. If anything is out there for Brian we will look at it.

"It's as simple as that. It doesn't mean we are accepting it our doing anything about it, other than to say we understand the way he is feeling and we understand that he wants to play."

It was confirmed that Jensen will be in the squad for the Boxing Day game at Barnsley.
