He's twice scored goals for them after coming on as a substitute, at Fleetwood on his debut and then a late equaliser in his only home game so far against Grimsby Town.

However, Alex-Ray Harvey has returned to Turf Moor after helping them out in the last month and having played in a more defensive role.

Manager Dave Bayliss said: "We’d love to extend Alex’s stay, he is a good player. We haven’t seen the best out of him yet though because it’s been difficult for him, we’ve had that many injuries, suspensions and changing of the side.

“Alex needs a run in the side in his natural position, as an attacking midfielder, but, because of missing players, we’ve asked him to sit more and do a similar type of role to James Owen in there.”
