It was the first of three late goals that turned the game on its head; a volley from just inside the box after the ball had been played to him by Graham Alexander. He'd scored with a header earlier in the game and completed his hat trick with another header. That volley earned him 54.9% of the vote.

He didn't take either of the next two places. The other four goals were scored by four different players - Jay Rodriguez, Andre Bikey, Wade Elliott and Chris Eagles - and it was the Eagles goal, our second in the 4-0 win against Hull that took second place.

It was probably the best worked goal of the month with Elliott, Jack Cork, Rodriguez and Danny Fox all involved before Fox slipped the ball through for Eagles who finished expertly with a shot across goalkeeper Matt Duke.

The Eagles goal won 17.1% of the vote and a further 9.2% was claimed by Rodriguez who took third place. In the very last minute of normal time the game was finally won against Preston when Ross Wallace and Eagles reacted quickly to take a corner on the right for Rodriguez to head home.

Elliott's winner against Bolton came fourth (6.8%) with Iwelumo's other two (3rd 4.3%, 1st 1.9%) against Preston taking fifth and sixth place with the remaining three goals all having 0.4% of the vote.

Iwelumo's second now joins Eagles' goal at Morecambe as this season's monthly winners and both will be in the Goal of the Season vote in May next year.
