Iwelumo completes Burnley move

Iwelumo has joined the Clarets on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee believed to be less than the £500,000 originally quoted.

He joins the Clarets after two years at Wolves that got off to a sensational start in 2008/09 before an injury brought his season to an end. He's now fully recovered and was back in their squad at the end of last season after having spent a couple of months on loan with Bristol City.

Like Dean Marney, who signed from Hull last week, Iwelumo has won promotion to the Premier League with his former club.

Iwelumo started his career with St. Mirren before joining Danish club Aarhus. He returned to England with Stoke during which time he had loan spells with York, Cheltenham and Brighton.

From there he signed Alemannia Aachen before returning to England once more with Colchester and then Charlton Athletic. He left Charlton for Wolves in the summer of 2008.
