It's Spurs at home again

Jacques Santini - his Spurs side are set to take on the Clarets
Just for a few minutes it was Bolton or Spurs but the latter have gone through 4-3 at the Reebok to book another Turf Moor date in two weeks time.

For those of us old enough it will be yet another reminder of those halcyon days of the early 60s when a match between these two clubs would guarantee a massive crowd – for the younger supporters it will bring back the memories of that night two years ago when goals from Robbie Blake and Steve Davis won a 3rd round tie to set us up with a home match against Manchester United.

That match was televised and there will be hope in the Turf Moor boardroom that Sky will turn up for this one too with the extra revenue more than welcome at Turf Moor.

It used to be Potts v Nicholson and McIlroy v Blanchflower, two years ago it was Ternent v Hoddle with Stan coming out on top. Let’s hope Steve Cotterill can win this particular battle against Jacques Santini as the old rivals come together again.

Burnley
v Spurs – I’ve seen so many brilliant games between the two sides, I can’t wait for this next one.

The full draw is:

Burnley v Tottenham Hotspur

Nottingham Forest v Fulham

Newcastle United v Chelsea

Liverpool v Middlesbrough

Watford v Southampton

Manchester United v Crystal Palace

Arsenal v Everton

Cardiff City v Portsmouth
