It's Driver again

He was a target for our previous manager in the summers of 2008 and 2009 but we failed to land the Saddleworth born winger, and with a change of manager for us in January it was thought that Andrew Driver cuold be a name from the past as far as Burnley Football Club are concerned.

Then, out of the blue, the Scottish press reported that we'd made an offer of arund £1.5 million recently for him. That was apparently dismissed by the Edinburgh club but over the next few days it became apparent they were looking to sell the player with all sorts of names, including that of Chelsea, thrown into the ring.

As far as we were concerned it all went quiet, but now, suddenly, it's all back on again if we are to believe the news coming out of Scotland's capital city.

This time we've supposedly made an offer that will guarantee Hearts £3 million rather than the previous offer where considerably more of the money was in add ons with us having to go back to the Premier League for them to get it all.

There's no way of knowing if there is any substance to this. It could be the case, but there again it could be Hearts once more trying to up the fee for a player they are obviously more than ready to part company with.
