Arsenal won the game with an early Aaron Ramsey goal but the Clarets kept in the game against the Premier League's current form team although weren't able to snatch an equaliser.
The closest we came was when George Boyd failed to get onto a Ben Mee cross in the second half, but for Mee it was an outstanding game at left back which has won him both the man of the match vote and the player ratings on Clarets Mad, and neither of them were close.
He polled over half of the vote with 55.2% with Michael Duff the only other player to reach double figures, coming second with 16.8% of the vote. Ashley Barnes came third with 9.4% while 6.3% of the vote won fourth place for Kieran Trippier.
The top four in the vote were also the top four in the player ratings, and in the same order, and they were the only four players to rate above seven out of ten.
Mee was the clear winning with a rating of 7.90 out of 10 with Duff again second with a rating of 7.31. Barnes, with 7.17 and Trippier, whose rating was 7.05 out of 10, took the next two places.
The result gives Mee the maximum of ten points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year with six points for Duff, four points for Barnes and two points for Trippier.
Those points have now taken Barnes into second place in the table for the first time. The four points he won means he now has one point more than both George Boyd and Jason Shackell. His 79 points leaves him 16 points behind leader Danny Ings.
The next vote will be underway on Saturday, within an hour of the final whistle of the Everton game.
