It's all Claret and Blue at the Railway

Matthew Flynn, a Claret, has been in the squad throughout the cup run and now we can also tell you that another Clarets’ fan Paul Stansfield is also one of the record breaking heroes.

Paul is in fact also a former Claret and was an associate schoolboy with the club in 1993/94 season and he comes from a family of big Burnley season ticket holders. His parents live in Burnley and are apparently close neighbours of mine.

He played the full 90 minutes in Saturday’s success at Slough in central midfield and along with Matthew is looking forward to the 2nd round record breaking tie against Bristol City.

Even better is we can all sit and watch the two Burnley supporters now, the tie which will be played at the Station Road ground will be screened live by Sky on Sunday morning 8th December with an 11:00 a.m. kick off.

Best of luck to both of you, and maybe you could persuade them to play in Claret and Blue. How about a win over Bristol City and an away draw at the Turf in Round Three.
