It is not Monty Panesar at Plymouth

The Panesar chant was ringing round Kenilworth Road last season when he took charge of his only Burnley game to date, a game we won 2-0 with a brace from Andy Gray. He held the game up for five minutes that night after a corner flag had broken and more importantly he sent off Stephen Foster somewhat harshly, but overall he had a decent enough game.

Taking a look at his games this season he's refereed a total of 24 games and in those games he's handed out 71 yellow cards with 28 of them going to home team players and 43 to away team players.

To add to that he's sent off two players, both of them back in November. The first was Grimsby's Ryan Bennett in the last minute of a 2-1 defeat at Shrewsbury and then just over a couple of weeks later he dismissed Dion Dublin, again in the last minute, of Norwich's 2-0 defeat at Charlton.

The Dublin red card came after a controversial end to the game that saw Andy Reid net two penalties in the last five minutes. Dublin went following an altercation with Danny Mills that ended with the Charlton full back head butted by Dublin.

The 46-year-old Singh is now in his fourth season on the Football League list and tomorrow he will be assisted by Paul Norman (Dorset) and Roger Vaughan (North Somerset) with the fourth official duties in the hands of Malcolm West (Cornwall).
