International call for Conlan

Northern Ireland face their second qualifying game in what is a tough UEFA Under-21 Championships group and this after they've already suffered a 3-0 defeat in Cyprus.

Conlan was called up for that game too but injury prevented him from playing in that game and also the more recent friendly against Denmark.

Fit again, he's played in recent development squad games for the Clarets and has won this call up for a game that will be played next Monday 9th September at the Stadion Den Dreef in Leuven.

Only one other game has been played in the group to date, and that was Belgium beating Cyprus 2-0. The other countries in Group 9 are Italy and Serbia.

This selection is just reward for two seasons as a youth player at Turf Moor during which time he's played in the semi-final of the FA Youth Cup and in that remarkable 4-3 win last season against Man United at Old Trafford when he was one of our best players.
