Injury worries for Clarets

Luke Chadwick - could come back into the side if injury rules out both Paul Weller and Richard Chaplow
Paul Weller played the first seventy minutes at Walsall but was replaced by Richard Chaplow because of a hamstring injury. Chappy was doubtful before the match and lasted just seven minutes before having to be substituted himself.

He had looked anything but fully fit whilst warming up and it was revealed after the game that he had suffered a dead leg which had swelled up very quickly.

Nothing else major was reported but there is some good news with Dele Adebola telling supporters that he thinks he will be OK for today and should be in the squad.

To add to the problems there is no chance of Dean West playing because of his abductor strain, it looks like he is out for the rest of the season and could well have played his last game for us.

And David May sits out the last of his two match suspension whilst Stan is once again in the stand as part of his ban.

If neither Chappy nor Weller make it then the question will be about that midfield role and it could go to either Lenny Johnrose, who took the place on Saturday, or more likely Luke Chadwick with Neil Wood partnering Tony Grant in the centre of the midfield.

If that happens then we will probably line up:

Brian Jensen, Lee Roche, Mark McGregor, Graham Branch, Mo Camara, Glen Little, Tony Grant, Neil Wood, Luke Chadwick, Robbie Blake, Ian Moore. Subs: Nathan Abbey, Lenny Johnrose, Alan Moore, Dele Adebola plus one from Joel Pilkington, Paul Scott, Ryan Townsend, Marc Pugh.

There is no news from Watford as to any injuries they might have picked up in their win over Crewe on Saturday but they will definitely be without Neil Cox, Jack Smith and Danny Webber who were all ruled out for both Easter fixtures.

Manager Ray Lewington says he is looking for a win despite the fact that he had initially called for four points over the Easter weekend.

"Going into the weekend I would have been happy with four points," he said. "But I won’t know. We’re confident and the lads are buzzing in the dressing room, it is a lovely atmosphere.

"Realistically I would accept a point at Burnley but we can still go there and get a win. Why not? 7-4 would be nice again but I don’t think my heart could stand it in the position we are in at the moment."

Watford are expected to name the team that beat Crewe which was:

Alec Chamberlain, Chris Baird, Sean Dyche, Marcus Gayle, Paul Mayo, Paul Devlin, Gavin Mahon, Micah Hyde, Lee Cook, Heidar Helguson, Scott Fitzgerald. Subs: Lenny Pidgeley, Neal Ardley, Bruce Dyer, Paolo Vernaazza, Hameur Bouazza.
