Injuries will decide line ups

Dean West - will come back in for injury victim Lee Roche
Every injury is crucial when you have as small a squad as the Clarets have and Lee Roche has now been added to that list with a hamstring injury, his second of the season, that will probably keep him out for a few weeks.

Neil Wood is also ruled out again for the third successive home match whilst Paul Weller will at least be completing his three match suspension today, the one he collected for pushing Dennis Wise after having been stamped on by the Millwall player/boss.

Much will depend on Richard Chaplow and he is back in training but suggestions are that this game will be too soon for him and he will almost certainly not be risked. That being the case it looks as though Alan Moore could be the only outfield player on the subs bench with any first team experience at all.

I expect us to line up: Brian Jensen, Dean West, Mark McGregor, David May, Mo Camara, Luke Chadwick, Glen Little, Tony Grant, Graham Branch, Robbie Blake, Ian Moore. Subs: Nathan Abbey, Ryan Townsend, Paul Scott, Marc Pugh, Alan Moore.

Preston also have injury problems, the Weary Whinger thinks they are the only club to suffer in this way.

Whinger laid into Burnley yesterday and said he was sick of hearing about our problems, incredible that this constant whiner ever hears anything other than his own monotone voice. He suits the club though who after insulting Blackpool Football Club in their match day programme when we visited Deepdale are now doing the same to us.

Central defenders Michael Jackson and Claude Davis are rated very doubtful whilst keeper Jonathan Gould is definitely ruled out. Also out are Brian O’Neil and George Koumantarakis whilst Dickson Etuhu and Eddie Lewis have injuries.

Added to the squad is former Claret Lee Briscoe and if he gets on for his debut it will be his first outing since walking out on the Clarets last season.
