He's been given a place on the left hand side of a 4-4-2 team, taking his place behind a strike partnership of James Vaughan, who all but ensured Huddersfield's safety with a hat trick in their win against bottom club Bristol City, and Chris O'Grady who scored in Barnsley's crucial win against Hull as they fight the drop.

Alongside him in the midfield are Ipswich's Carlos Edwards , Nathaniel Chalobah of Watford and Peterborough's Grant McCann who all, like Ings, were on the scoresheet.

Peterborough, who have turned their season round to such an extent that they are still in with a good chance of staying up, had three players in the team. Both Barnsley and Nottingham Forest had two players named with the other four players coming from four other clubs.

The team was: Karl Darlow (Nottingham Forest), Greg Halford (Nottingham Forest), Martin Cranie, Michael Bostwick (Peterborough), Tommy Rowe (Peterborough), Carlos Edwards (Ipswich), Nathaniel Chalobah (Watford), Grant McCann (Peterborough), Danny Ings (Burnley), James Vaughan (Huddersfield), Chris O'Grady (Barnsley).
