Tom Ince was a scholar with the Clarets Burnley from 2003 to 2005 but was released at the end of his second year and move into non-league football with Bamber Bridge where he remained for almost four seasons before signing for Leigh Genesis in March 2009.

He was one of a number of new signings made by manager Garry Flitcroft immediately on his appointment and Tom had an excellent 2009/10 season with Genesis, scoring 15 goals and winning both their supporters' and players' player of the year awards.

Flitcroft, however, opted to leave and has now moved to Chorley as manager and he immediately went back to sign three of his Genesis players including Ince. He said of Ince: "I like to play with wingers and he has great ability, as well as a fantastic work ethic."
