Imps vote for goalscorer Anderson

Burnley born Anderson is out on loan in the Conference for the fourth time having played for Barrow and Hyde during the 2012/13 season and Halifax last season, and he joined Lincoln just 11 days ago and made his debut the day after in a 1-0 defeat at Aldershot.

He's since helped them to four home points. He had an excellent game last Saturday when he was part of the defence that kept a clean sheet against Macclesfield, a game they won 2-0, and tonight was man of the match in a 1-1 home draw against a Gateshead side that included former Claret John Oster.

Tonight's game was Tom's 26th in the Conference and provided him with his first ever goal when he gave Lincoln the lead ten minutes into the second half. They won a corner on the left and he headed home Ben Tomlinson's flag kick with a brave header, getting a knock in the process which required treatment.

He got up to a rousing reception from the home fans and there was another to come from him five minutes form the end when he denied Gateshead a winner with a superb block. Tom was voted man of the match by the Lincoln fans.
