Hyde stars in World Cup draw

The point keeps Jamaica in second place in their group, above Panama on goal difference, but it was not looking too good for the Reggae Boyz as they fell behind.

The much needed equaliser came just sixteen minutes from time and was initially credited to Micah but was later confirmed as being scored by Theodore Whitmore but as Panama take on the leaders USA next the Jamaicans could pull clear if they can beat El Salvador on Wednesday.

They might have to do that without Micah Hyde who could well be suspended if, as has been reported, he received a yellow card during last night’s game. This would be his second and would automatically rule him out on Wednesday.
