Hyde linked with Swansea

Micah was one of four players placed on the transfer list at the end of last season but he's featured strongly during the pre-season games. He started and played virtually all the game against Bolton and he and Andy Gray were the only two players to play the entire ninety minutes last Friday against Alense.

He looks to be very much back with the first team squad with the way he's played and it does appear that Steve Cotterill could well have decided that he would prefer to keep the former Watford midfielder at Turf Moor.

I wouldn't have thought that would be the case with the other three players. Duane Courtney has appeared in the build up fleetingly but it's been déjà vu for Danny Karbassiyoon who has once again missed the pre-season, this time the whole of it, with a knee injury.

That leaves Gifton Noel-Williams and surely his Turf Moor days now are numbered. The striker pulled out of the Italian trip at the last minute, and that has led to the rumours of interest from other clubs again. Nottingham Forest have been linked, as have his former club Stoke and there have even been suggestions that he could have been training with them.

For me it looks unlikely that Micah would drop down a division and make a move to the Liberty Stadium – it is more and more likely that our number 18 could be staying with us for the foreseeable future.
