Hughes talk has no substance

As always it has been backed up with definite sightings of him at Turf Moor, even with Barry Kilby at a time when the Chairman was out of the country on business.

Apparently we are all set to have a Welsh set up with ex-Claret Brian Flynn working alongside the former Manchester United and Barcelona striker.

Hughes is under contract to the Welsh FA and has no club managerial experience whatsoever so would not fit the criteria set by the Clarets. Maybe he was at the Turf this week, maybe he was just calling to offer Glenn Hoddle and George Graham a lift.

Whatever it does appear that any move for Mark Hughes is very unlikely and he is not expected to become the next manager of Burnley Football Club.
