Eddie Howe is to speak to Brian Jensen
He's arrived to find goalkeeper Brian Jensen on the transfer list, the Dane deciding on a move after losing his place to Lee Grant in October.

Howe confirmed he'll speak to Jensen to find what the current situation is. "We haven't had a chance to chat with Brian yet," Howe said. "It's been a bit of a whirlwind week so far so I will sit down with Brian when I get a minute and talk it through with him and see where he's at and see what he's thinking.

"It depends what Brian thinks. He has obviously put in a transfer request for a reason but until I speak to him I won't know the full details."

How confirmed that there had been no approach from Everton for Chris Eagles and also reported that there had been no contact from Burnley regarding James Vaughan at Everton or Charlie Austin at Swindon.

"We have been busy behind the scenes but I need to assess the squad first and see where we need to strengthen," Howe said. "What I don't want to do is make any rash decisions. I've got to make sure the players we bring in are the right ones. We are still in that phase where we are evaluating people."
