Ben Hoskin
Ben Hoskin - played the first half
They were amongst no fewer than fourteen trialists used by manager John Coleman in the game with Devenney probably coming out of the game better than Hoskin.

Hoskin played the first half at right back, but the half ended with Clitheroe leading 3-0. A host of half time changes saw Devenney introduced alongside a number of their first team players and it was Devenney who scored the first as they came back to draw the game.

The two players left Burnley in the summer. Devenney had just completed his two year apprenticeship with the club, and had also had spells with Preston and Rochdale during last season, whilst Hoskin had completed a season beyond his apprenticeship after recovering from a back injury.

Both are expected to remain at Stanley as they search for a contract ahead of the new season.
