Steven Thompson - won the man of the match vote
Steven Thompson, who scored the 88th minute goal that gave us a 3-2 lead, was one of the top performers on the night and won the man of the match, polling 30.4% of the vote. Defender Clarke Carlisle, scorer of the first goal, came second with 21.2% whilst Wade Elliott claimed third place with 8.8% of the vote.

Although two of those players also featured in the player ratings it was none of them who came out on top. The winner was Steven Caldwell whose rating was 7.88 out of 10. Carlisle took second place again with a rating of 7.84 whilst Thompson, winner of the man of the match, was third with a rating of 7.78.

Those results give both Carlisle and Thompson four points towards the Player of the Year, Caldwell wins three points whilst there is one point for Elliott.

None of the top five in the Player of the Year Table scored any points, but Caldwell has edged to within a point of fifth place Chris McCann whilst Elliott has now gone clear of Stephen Jordan in seventh place. Both Carlisle and Thompson are currently outside the top ten but both are moving closer to that tenth place with their latest points.

Voting continues for the man of the match from the Nottingham Forest game and will run until the end of Tuesday when it will be replaced by the vote for the Ipswich man of the match poll.
