Home game against Sheffield Wednesday in cup

Last updated : 13 August 2014 By Tony Scholes

This will be the first time the two sides have ever met in the competition and will be the first time we've played the Owls in either of the two main competitions since 1983 when we lost heavily in an FA Cup 6th round replay at Hillsborough.

The tie will see another return to Turf Moor for Stuart Gray, now manager at Hillsborough, and they will come with a record that has seen them unbeaten in games at Burnley since 2000.

The tie will be played in two weeks time.
