Holloway gets Plymouth job

Holloway was placed on gardening leave by Gianni Paladini last January after he spoke to Leicester about the manager's job at the Walkers Stadium, this after Paladini had given him permission to speak to them.

Since then he's had nothing to do but tend his garden, other than some TV work, whilst Gary Waddock has assume responsibility for the team at Loftus Road. But that has all changed with Holloway today appointed as replacement for the departed Tony Pulis at Home Park and has, according to press sources in Devon, pipped former Burnley boss Stan Ternent for the job after both were interviewed in Taunton last Monday.

He's got a lot to do at Plymouth, he has just fourteen players and the entire coaching staff want to leave to rejoin Pulis at Stoke.

The coaching situation could soon be rectified. Both Gary Penrice and Tim Breacker were placed on gardening leave along with Holloway and he is expected to bring both of them with him to Plymouth.

So Holloway takes over from a former Bristol Rovers team mate Tony Pulis, the man with the best post match press conferences is back in football.
