Heath goes at Coventry

Almost certainly that will be Iain Dowie who in the last few months has walked out on Palace to head north, then moved to Charlton where he was sacked after just a short time in charge.

When Micky Adams left last month the team was put in the hands of former Burnley boss Adrian Heath who was hoping to stake a claim for the job. It was never really on the cards and the poor results under his temporary management certainly ruled it out.

Yesterday they were beaten 3-0 at Leicester after a very poor performance and this morning Coventry City have reacted by sacking Heath. If that isn't a clue that a new man is on his way, bringing with him his own staff, then besides Heath, Coventry have also parted company today with coach Darren Robinson, goalkeeping coach Andy Dibble and chief scout George Foster.

Coventry will apparently make an announcement on the managerial position in due course, but I would suspect due course means early this week and it would be a big surprise if it wasn't Iain Dowie.
