Heath comes and goes

Heath, assistant manager at Coventry, left his post last Tuesday to take up a similar role at Derby working for new manager Phil Brown. Coventry announced his departure but somewhat strangely there was no mention of his arrival at Pride Park.

This was because they hadn’t offered him the job, they had simply listed him as a potential candidate and were set to discuss it with him. He didn’t get the job so yesterday went crawling back to Coventry and resumed his role there.

Manager Micky Adams was pleased to take him back whilst Heath said, “The reaction I received from the players and staff when I said I was leaving was overwhelming. I am delighted to be staying and am looking forward to the new campaign.”

I bet he’s delighted to be staying, and certainly more delighted than he was last week when he decided to walk out on them for a job he thought he had elsewhere.
