Haywood for QPR game

Last updated : 10 April 2009 By Tony Scholes
Last season he took charge of the 1-1 draw against Leicester and earlier this season he was back at the Turf for the home win against Reading. But he's had two very disappointing games when his inability to get close to play has been highlighted. He still holds the lowest score yet in our Rate the Ref feature on the message board for fitness and positioning.

He hasn't handed out any cards in either of those two games and it is fair to say he's not the most card happy of referees although when he does it is usually a warning for the away team. This season, in 33 games, he's handed out four red cards and 50 yellow cards.

All but one of the red cards have gone to away team players whilst 16 of the yellows have gone to home team players with 34 to away team players. In one run this season he handed out twelve successive yellow cards to away team players.

So we shouldn't expect too many cards but hopefully we'll see him get somewhat closer to the action than has been the case on his two previous visits.

He will be assisted tomorrow by Darren England (South Yorkshire) and Bob Roberts (Lancashire) with the fourth official Richard Hewitt (North Yorkshire).
