Jon got his first Burnley goals on Saturday, the first coming from a free kick after the Watford keeper Ben Foster ‘blatantly’ handled the ball outside the box and then from the penalty spot after the keeper had brought down Graham Branch.

They were his first goals since October of last year when he scored for Sheffield United at Crewe, but it was his performance at left back that has won him a place in the team after our 4-1 victory over the Hornets.

He becomes the third Burnley player to win a place in one of these teams this season, following on from Garreth OConnor and Ade Akinbiyi and he lines up in the following team this week:

Lee Camp (Derby), David Wright (Norwich), Richard Naylor (Ipswich), Jason De Vos (Ipswich), Jon Harley (Burnley), Michael Hughes (Crystal Palace), Ben Watson (Crystal Palace), Steve Sidwell (Reading), Carlos Edwards (Luton), Iain Hume (Leicester), Dean Ashton (Norwich).
