Harley was with the Clarets for almost three years. He signed at the end of August 2005 from Sheffield United, making his debut in a 2-2 home draw against Derby. He went on to play over 120 games for us, the last of which coming in the final game of the 2007/08 at Crystal Palace.

Despite the performances of both Stephen Jordan and Christian Kalvenes this season he comfortably won the vote to take his place in the best Burnley team of the past ten years, incredibly Jordan was down in fourth place behind even Mo Camara.

In a massive vote he polled 45% to take first place and that was more than double Kalvenes who claimed 20.9% of the vote to take second place. Camara came in third with 15.9%.

That left Jordan fourth with 7.7%, then Briscoe with 7.2% and finally Gordon Armstrong with just 3.6% of the vote.

Voting is now underway for the first of the two central defensive positions. There are fifteen players to select from over the next three days. Once that first vote is complete the remaining fourteen players will be re-introduced in a second vote to select the second central defender.
