Harley has not turned down an offer

As I reported yesterday they have been unerringly accurate recently with their snippets of gossip on the Clarets. There was Andrew Cole and even Marcelo Carrusca from supposedly well informer journalist Alan Nixon.

Nixon was even writing in our match programme on Saturday, but if he was behind the Harley information then he got this one wrong and manager Owen Coyle has spoken out today and dismissed any such suggestion that our left back has turned down the offer of a new deal.

There was no indication from him as to what the situation is with Harley who will be out of contract at the end of this season, having been with the Clarets for almost three years. He is one of seven players out of contract in the summer as is Wade Elliott who is currently considering an offer from the club. The other five are Brian Jensen, Garreth O'Connor, James O'Connor, John Spicer and David Unsworth.
