Happy with the appointment

Most of the comments on the new man in charge at Turf Moor have been positive. Some believed we should have gone for a more experienced manager such as Peter Reid but overall it looked as though this appointment had met with your approval.

That's definitely been born out in our voting poll with almost 80% of you happy with the arrival of Coyle from St. Johnstone. 27.4% of you thought it to be an excellent appointment whilst a further 52% considered it to be a reasonable appointment.

Only 8% of you thought it wasn't the right appointment. From those 5.6% believed it to be disappointing whilst 2.4% thought Coyle was a poor choice. The remaining 12.7% didn't have views either way so all in all this looks to have been a well received decision by the Clarets board.

t's worth looking back to over three years ago when Steve Cotterill was appointed. Then, although over 57% considered it a good appointment, no fewer than 21% thought he was not the right choice.
