Happy New Year

It would be remiss of me though not to thank those who have helped as Clarets Mad has grown from strength to strength throughout the year.

Andy Robinson has retired from match report duty and spends so much of his spare time providing articles, researching the history of the club and of course finding you all answers that you send to Ask Clarets Mad.

Does anyone anywhere provide better coverage of reserve and youth team football than Peter Heywood? We all know so much more about our younger players thanks to Peter.

David Clark has this season been joined by Steve Cummings providing us with match reports and at least one of them, and usually both, are at the games. Their reports are always eagerly awaited.

And finally Richard Oldroyd, the youngest member of the team, joined us in January and his articles in Oldroyd’s Turf have received a fantastic response.

It really is a special thanks to Andy, Peter, David, Steve and Richard – without them it would be just impossible.

And thanks to all of you who regularly contribute on the message board, another area that has grown incredibly since the start of this season, and thanks to each and every one of you who visit the site.

I would like to wish all of you, everyone at Burnley Football Club, all Burnley fans and football fans everywhere a Happy New Year.

And let’s hope that 2003 proves to be a good year for Burnley FC starting at Bramall Lane tomorrow.
