David Hamilton
Hamilton had a difficult time at Burnley with injuries and after being released he moved into non-league football whilst taking his coaching badges. He worked as youth coach at Rochdale, and spent some time as caretaker manager at Spotland.

He then returned to Wigan, one of his former clubs as a player, and eventually became their first ever full time Chief Scout. He moved to Derby in the same capacity where he again worked with Chris Hutchings and now takes the role at Walsall.

Hutchings said today: "I am looking forward to working with David once again. He is a conscientious worker and brings a lot to the table. It is important for a club like Walsall to have a dedicated Chief Scout who can oversee the scouting process.

"It is an important role and, having served the likes of Wigan and Derby over the course of the last seven years, is one that David knows inside out."
