Hale was with the Clarets as a youngster and joined the youth squad ahead of the 2003/04 season. He was in the squad for two years but was one of seven youngsters released at the end of the 2004/05 season.

From Burnley he joined Fleetwood and was with the Fylde coast club for four years before moving on to Bamber Bridge and eventually Curzon Ashton.

Last week he made the move to Bradford Park Avenue and made his debut on Saturday in their 1-0 away win against Stocksbridge Park Steels, keeping that clean sheet behind a very good defensive display.

Last night, in his second game, he did concede, but again Bradford won away from home, beating Ashton United 3-1. He's still to be beaten in open play; Ashton's goal came from the penalty spot.
